.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are popular by. Initially, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to obtain john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our firm, you can secure your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer code from the current registration service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no particular restrictions on who can obtain a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
